On Macro and socioeconomic, IEA undertake to study and disseminate information on the following;

• Demographic dynamics – population by age groups, youth bulge, labour force/working population and dependency ratio
• Structure of the economy and economic growth and performance over a set period of time
• Macroeconomic health of the economy: inflation; exchange rate, interest rate and employment levels
• Socioeconomic trends -poverty levels, select socio economic indicators -literacy levels, , human development index, health indicators-U5 mortality levels, education
